The 2012 Dodge Avenger is one of the most powerful naturally aspirated mid-sized V-6 sedans on the market. On thing you have to give credit to Dodge for is the sporty lines they work into every automobile. And the Avenger is no exception. Up front there is the iconic Dodge grill which is present on all their vehicles, the lower fascia is aggressive, and the big block headlights look great. The body lines follow the same sort of high waistline in the rear quarters as the Charger and Challenger. Base price for the Avenger is $18,995.
The 2012 Dodge Avenger comes with 2 different engine options. The first is a 2.4 liter 4-cylinder that creates 173 horsepower and 166 lb-ft. of torque. This smaller engine gets 31 MPG in the city and 30 MPG on the highway. The larger, more powerful engine is a 3.6 liter V-6 that makes 283 horsepower and 260 lb-ft. of torque. Fuel economy for this engine is excellent at 19 MPG in the city and 29 MPG on the highway.
On the inside the space is adequate in the rear. Up front Dodge has an upgraded steering wheel with mounted controls. The Avenger also features Blue Tooth connectivity, optional touch navigation, and ambient interior lighting. Dodge has been working hard over the past few years to carve out a space for itself in the mid-sized car segment which is a tough gig. But with the powerful and responsive V-6 Pentastar engine you get the best of both worlds: power and fuel economy.
