Vitreous beaten without taking damage. Played in real time on Snes9x v1.43 rerecording. As tempting as it is, do not hide in a corner and simply mash the sword button as fast as you can. The small eyes can and will push through your sword slashes to hit you, usually multiple times. This is a common mistake people make when they fight Vitreous. Instead, remember the first rule of Zelda: If there's an eyeball, shoot it with the bow. This works nearly every time in Zelda, and Vitreous is no exception. It only takes three arrows to kill one of the small eyeballs and, unlike your sword, you can use the bow from range. Move back and forth across the room to keep the small eyes from ganging up on you and take shots with the bow when you're clear of them. Slash any that come too close with your sword to slow them down before continuing to dodge. If you see the big eyeball raise up out of the slime, move towards either side of the room as fast as you can to avoid its lightning attack. But, again, don't hide in the corner because you can still be hit by the lightning there; move up towards the light green slime (which won't hurt you unless you go up past where the dark green slime starts) to be safe. After you kill all nine small eyes the big one will start hopping around after you. If you've got any arrows left, stand directly in front of it and fire away; it takes eight to kill the big eyeball.
